If you're planning to travel to Vietnam and want to take advantage of visa exemptions, there are a few tips to keep in mind.

Tips for using Vietnam Visa Exemption:

  • Make sure that your passport has at least 06 months validity and 02 blank pages. Otherwise, you cannot enter Vietnam.
  • The day interval between 02 stays with visa exemption is not required anymore. Travelers visiting Vietnam with visa exemption can exit the country after the exemption period ends and return the country immediately for another exemption.
  • There is no limit on the use of Visa Exemption. Foreign passport holders can use Visa Exemption as many times as interest.
  • If you plan to visit Phu Quoc Island, there is also Visa Exemption policy for foreign citizens here. Foreigners who enter Phu Quoc Island by airplane can have 30 days Visa Exemption.
  • APEC Business Travel Card (ABTC) holders can have 60 days visa-free to enter Vietnam if there is the VNM code on the back side. If you have APEC card with the VNM code, just use it to enter Vietnam.
  • Additionally, if you plan to stay for an extended period of time, you may still need to apply for a visa.
  • Overall, it's important to do your research ahead of time to ensure a smooth and hassle-free travel experience.

Vietnam is currently launching a pilot e-Visa system for citizens from 80 countries.
